Sherburn Radio; A/G 122.60

Entering & leaving the MATZ,  (Entry/Exit Points);

The Sherburn ATZ is wholly contained within the Church Fenton MATZ.  During published hours of operation, inbound aircraft must contact 'Fenton Approach' on 126.50 five minutes prior to MATZ boundary. Clearance will normally be given to enter the MATZ not above 1500ft on the Church Fenton QFE using the following routes;

  • 'Echo' from the East via Selby  
  • 'Sierra' from the South via Ferrybridge 
  • 'Whisky' from the West via Micklefield

Depart the Sherburn circuit via the above points not above 1,000ft QFE until clear of the MATZ. Contact Church Fenton 126.50 on leaving the Sherburn circuit stating 'Echo', 'Sierra' or 'Whisky' departure on first call.

Joining the circuit

Fixed wing aircraft should join overhead at 1500ft 'Fenton' QFE and descend on the deadside to the circuit height 1,000ft .
